Seven Deadly Sins 2008

Listening to the radio this morning, I was very much amused with Vatican as they have updated the Seven Deadly Sins.

Vatican had finally joined the updating bandwagon. From computers to systems, the Catholic Church had finally has its own Seven Deadly Sins 2008.

Of course the world has evolved so much since the Seven Deadly Sins Version 1 and it’s reasonable to have it updated. Sins like “ruining the environment”, “carrying morally debatable scientific experiments”, “taking drugs”, “social injustice” and “excessive accumulation of wealth” were considered to adapt with globalization.

And if these are to be followed religiously, everybody will go to hell. Just on “ruining the environment”, where everyone is using computers, TVs or any electric device, directly or indirectly, which leave green house gases.

And with “excessive accumulation of wealth”, Jesuits are no doubt to be the first in line.
